The Knowledge of Heaven

As a writer, an investor, and someone who finds beauty in both the art of words and the logic of numbers, I’ve realized that the principles of smart investing apply far beyond financial markets. They extend into every corner of life, influencing how we create, connect, and pursue our passions. The three strategies I use to guide my investments are Interest & Knowledge, Literature & Research, and Emotional Intelligence, which aren’t just financial tools. They are life tools, universal truths that help us navigate the messy, unpredictable, and beautiful journey of existence.

1. Interest & Knowledge: The Foundation of Passion and Purpose

In life, much like investing, the first step to success is aligning your efforts with your interests and expertise. As I’ve built my career as a writer and an author, I’ve come to recognize that my message reflects my knowledge, passions, and unique perspective.

In investing, I focus on industries I love, such as technology, AI, gaming, and more. This connection enhances my confidence and decision-making. Similarly, I pour my soul into topics I deeply care about in writing. When you work from a place of genuine interest, whether crafting a novel, building a business, or curating a portfolio, you position yourself for success.

Life Application: Follow your passions unapologetically. Build your life around the things you love and understand. Whether art, relationships, or personal growth, your knowledge and curiosity will drive your success.

2. Literature & Research: Understanding the Bigger Picture

As an investor, I study company literature and research markets before making decisions. This same principle applies to life and art. Research is the backbone of creation. As a writer, I immerse myself in books, stories, and experiences to craft narratives that resonate universally.

Investing in knowledge, whether understanding a company’s history or studying human experiences for a novel, allows us to make informed decisions. It reduces doubt, encourages creativity, and helps us take calculated risks.

Life Application: Do your research. Whether diving into a new career, starting a passion project, or navigating a relationship, arm yourself with knowledge. Understanding the bigger picture helps you act intentionally, clearly, and confidently.

3. Emotional Intelligence: The Art of Resilience and Balance

Money is emotional, and so is life. As an investor, I’ve learned that emotions like fear and pride can cloud judgment, leading to impulsive decisions. The same is true in our personal and creative lives. Emotional Intelligence (EI) keeps us grounded when life gets turbulent.

For me, writing is not just a craft, it’s an emotional experience. As an author, I pour my heart into my work and know when to step back, reflect, and refine. EI gives me the resilience to face rejection, the balance to handle success, and the self-awareness to grow as an artist and a person.

Life Application: Cultivate emotional intelligence in everything you do. Learn to manage your emotions in challenging situations, whether tackling a creative block, navigating a personal setback, or taking risks. Resilience and balance are keys to thriving.

Art as a Reflection of Life: My Message is Everything

As a writer, I see art as a universal language that breaks traditional boundaries and speaks to the soul. Just as investing requires strategy and insight, art demands vulnerability and vision. My message is everything. It’s the heart of my work, purpose, and contribution to the world.

Art, like investing, is about taking risks and believing in something bigger than yourself. It’s about creating meaning in the chaos and connecting with others on a deeper level. Whether through a story, a painting, or an investment portfolio, art is about leaving your mark, something timeless and universal.
