It’s more than a blessing to be able to wake up. But it is ineffable to describe the feeling of wanting to wake up the next day, regardless of one’s circumstances. I enjoy waking up. My eyes widen, my ears pick up on the waves of movement, the aroma of the air, and the feeling of moving is simply unbelievable to me.

As someone who has experienced grief, trauma, and misfortunes, being able to be free, walking, breathing, and having no underlying health issues, makes me understand that the simple things in life are free. Along with that, I know that on my journey, I have helped so many people overcome their self-doubt and hardships, and I have inspired and motivated them to do or even feel better.

It's one of those feelings or perspectives that, once you finally choose to live gracefully and peacefully, knowing life will be life and things will happen, it changes the aura of your entire existence, as it did for me. I also believe in having something to show for my time, and every day I use my gifts from God to shine light on the world. It's more than just waking up, but waking up to serve a purpose and seeing the result silently within myself.

It’s the presence, not living, but being able to exist in various forms aside from the flesh. ~ Jah Elliot
